Give your day a boost
Spice it up with the antioxidants found in these homemade wellness shots!
Loaded with many health benefits, including natural anti-inflammatory and cell-repairing properties of ginger, vitamins from oranges, and digestive elements in lemons, our simple-to-make tonic is as easy as chopping and blending. You will need 12-15 2 oz jars and a cheesecloth or strainer to keep things pure. Then refrigerate, enjoy over the week, and share the remaining 7-day supply with a friend or family member!
You will need
- 2 pieces of ginger root
- 2 lemons, juiced
- 1 blood orange, juiced
- 1 c pineapple, cubed
- 1/2 c coconut water
- 1/4 t cayenne pepper
Instructions
- Rinse and scrub ginger root with a vegetable brush under cold water. Chop into 1/2” cubes.
- Add ginger and all remaining ingredients to a blender. Using a personal-size blender, you must divide ingredients into two equal batches. Blend until smooth.
- Strain through a cheesecloth (or strainer) over a large measuring cup to capture skin and pulp. Discard solid pieces.
- Pour 2 ounces into each jar. Repeat until all jars have an equal amount of tonic in them.
- Refrigerate for up to a week.
- Shake well before drinking. Enjoy!
