We're David + Edward

We swiped right on Tinder and haven't looked back. Living our best life in the Midwest, we're based in Cleveland, Ohio, and work from home—David in healthcare IT and Edward as a UX designer.

When we're not working, we're all about good food and cozy home vibes. We love exploring new restaurants, trying recipes, and sharing our journey with you. In 2025, we're expecting to ramp up on our DIY skills with potential renovation projects in our basement, our primary suite, mudroom, foyer and laundry room with many heartwarming moments in between.

2015 - Present

Our story

  • Adopted Mitzi Giant Schnauzer Puppy
  • Launched Midwest Husbands Repurposed wedding website because they paid for the domain for a year.
  • Adventures International (Honeymoon): Paris, France, and London, England, and celebrated Edward's 30th Birthday.
    Domestic: Ski trip to Colorado, traveled to South Padre Island, Texas, Traverse City, Michigan, and Southern California.
  • Built and moved in to our New England Colonial Visited worksite daily to capture progress and be involved in building process.
  • Collaborations With 25 companies and organizations in creating fun content.
  • Edward graduated with a master's degree in User Experience. David couldn't be happier.
  • Our wedding celebration Grateful to have family and friends travel from 17 states and South Korea!
  • Adventures Domestic: Madison, WI, Portland, ME, and Traverse City, MI.
  • Edward's Golden Birthday Turning 28 on the 28th
  • COVID-19 Pandemic Bingewatched Schitt's Creek and Sex and the City and survived cutting each other's hair.
  • We got engaged. Then legally married, and planned our 2021 wedding celebration.
  • Back to school Edward started pursuing his M.S. in User Experience.
  • Adventures International: Auckland, Taupō, Christchurch, Queenstown in New Zealand and Alberta in Canada.
    Domestic: Island of Oahu in Hawaii, Washington, DC, Detroit in Michigan, Portland in Maine, and San Francisco, Napa, and Sonoma County in California.
  • Moved to Ohio To be closer to family.
  • Employment Edward transitioned from Graphic Design to User Experience, and found a new job in Cleveland.
    David started to work remotely.
  • Adventures Visited Niagara Falls and Toronto in Ontario, Canada.
  • Purchased first home together The Brookside
  • First major DIY project Patio, 12' x 24'
  • Adventures Traveled to Mexico City and six other states, including Las Vegas, Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, Indianapolis, and New York City (their first time in the city)
  • David bought a fixer-upper in Madison, Wisconsin. Edward moved in, and they became practically common law, Mexican married.
  • First DIY projects Painting: Fireplace, Bathroom

  • Adventures Plane: Costa Rica (First international trip together)
  • Meeting the family David met Edward's family in the Rio Grande Valley, Texas.
  • Swiped right on Tinder Met at Starbucks on State Street in Madison, WI.
  • David introduced Edward to #BoatLife Bonded over love for water and cooking together.
  • Adventures Roadtrips: Chicago, Illinois and Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
    Plane: Bay Area, California (SF, Napa/Sonoma County).
  • Meeting the family Edward met David's family and celebrated Thanksgiving and Christmas together in Cleveland, Ohio.
