Come with us to the Holden Arboretum where you will find some pure imagination this summer! Sean Kenney’s Nature Connects is beautifully intertwined with the trees and floral beds.
We were enthralled by the number of bricks within some of these sculptures, as some top 60,000 LEGO pieces! To say we have new garden goals is a given with our love for bringing LEGO into our home as art!
This is one of our favorite times of year to visit Holden Arboretum as the flowers and shrubbery are blooming in so many colors. We enjoy reading about all the different plants that grow well in Northeast Ohio as we continue to think about what to bring into our yard.
Now through September 4, Nature Connects will be exhibited. Be sure to pick up a map at the entrance so that you can go on the hunt for all the larger than life LEGO sculptures! My favorite was the Birds and Squirrels and Edward’s was the Gardener. Don’t forget to stop by the Visitor’s Center where the kids can build their own creation, and maybe even have it displayed on the feature wall!
Take in all the arboretum has to offer and consider making it a day trip. Bring a book to read on a bench, pack a picnic, and enjoy the sights and sounds nature has in store. The Holden Arboretum is only 30 minutes from Cleveland yet it feels worlds away. It is by far one of our favorite places to find calm and tranquility near our home.
