Upcycled Cork Anchor

Do you or a friend who enjoys wine need an uplifting gift this summer just because? Are you feeling crafty? Do you have a container with wine corks?

Let’s upcycle to create this DIY wine cork anchor together!

Planning our design with materials
Before we start
You will need
  • 2-hours
  • 2′ x 3′ work surface
  • 87 wine corks
  • Wood Glue
  • Parchment or newspaper
  • Large tray or cutting board
Instructions
  1. Line your work surface with paper.
  2. Refer to the template to sort corks according to the sections of the anchor. Lay these out across your work surface to make gluing easier.
  3. Glue each side of the cork that adjoins and press together. Hold for a few seconds before moving on to the next.
  4. Allow to set for an hour.
  5. Assemble each section according to the template on your large tray lined with paper. This allows you to carefully move the piece to an area where it can cure for at least 48 hours without touching it.
  6. Enjoy showing off your latest décor or happy gifting!
