Our new build
1 year reflection

We are in partnership with Wayfair. While this post is sponsored, all opinions are our own.
We’re designing a tablescape for dinner with another couple that looks beautiful and functions well for any of the holidays you may host between now and February! Smaller doesn’t mean you can’t go all out with your tablescape! For this gathering before the holidays, we wanted to refresh some of our glassware and linens, so we turned to Wayfair to get all we needed for a good value. It was delivered promptly, and everything arrived in good care. We started by creating a lookbook of our favorites with My Lists on Wayfair‘s website and app. It was fun going through all the options available and narrowing down exactly what we wanted our tablescape to be in the digital space before we ordered. Then, everything came within a few days after.
Since our tablescape begins with a 48″ round table, we added a nice neutral tablecloth in a monochromatic ivory plaid pattern. Then we built our centerpiece by elevating a marble turntable we had received as a wedding gift and decorating the base with a faux arborvitae garland. We also wanted to lift the purple from the chairs up to the table. The Fiesta Pie Plate in Mulberry was perfect for our homemade apple pie that could be visually enjoyed during dinner! Another nice part of having a centerpiece as we did was that socializing was easy! We didn’t have to shift our seats to see our guests. Most importantly, everyone enjoyed the aroma of baked apples and cinnamon! With our dinner in November before Thanksgiving, we wanted to showcase the autumn colors while still looking forward to the winter holidays! Wayfair’s selection of linens was phenomenal, and we found a set of napkins in plaid featuring red, orange, tan, and green hues! It doesn’t transition much better than that. Pro tip: Colored napkins are also great for meals with tomato or curried sauces!
Since we were serving wine and cocktails before dinner, we wanted our tablescape to feature elegant water glasses. We already have several pieces from Schott Zwiesel and their 18 oz. Crystal Drinking Glass set of 6 was the perfect complement.
We love the look of our Zeta Frida Dessert Bowl set that were perfect for the vanilla ice cream we served alongside the pie.
We’re patiently looking forward to more dinner parties with family and friends in our new home. What is your favorite holiday or gathering tablescape to put together?
