Getting around

In 2016, we traveled to Costa Rica to tour various parts of Guanacaste Province. It was such a wonderful week early on in our relationship to recharge and adventure together.

We were hesitant to rent a car, so we arranged transportation for a ride-share to take us from Liberia to Playa Carillo.

There we developed the courage to attempt the local roads and decided to rent a car. We drove ourselves to Monteverde where we walked the tree canopy above the “Cloud Forest”.

After that, we went to Islita and stayed at the Hotel Punta Islita (part of the Marriott Autograph Collection where we zip-lined, rode horses along the beach, practiced yoga, and hiked to find monkeys!

It was a week where we jammed out to Taylor Swift’s “Into the Woods” for whatever reason as we were in the jungle and it felt right! Ahh, to go back there right now would be so great. Soon one day, we will go back!
