Overview

Welcome to our future child’s bedroom. As we go through the adoption process, we want a room ready for the home study we will be doing soon. Our journey toward manifesting a family has continuously felt like a step forward and two steps backward. Sometimes, we feel behind, but we can only move at a pace that makes sense!

This house was our first commitment to deciding to start a family. We wanted the flexibility to accommodate the age of foster and adopted children and the prospect of not separating siblings!

Our moodboard

We chose to decorate the space with a gender-neutral safari theme. We decided to use colors like yellow and green to bring calming energy to this space. We brought in a twin-size daybed to start as it opens up the room for imagination, play, and the age of a child who might call this home.

Kirsch Contemporary Roman Shades in the Copper Weave color gives a modern yet classic twist to the space that can grow with the child as a neutral design element. It will indeed be fun to see how the space evolves.

Bringing it all together

We couldn’t be more excited to welcome future children into our home. As we continue on our family planning journey, having a room ready for them is important to us.

Child safety is paramount in our interior design and home decor selection journey. The window coverings are motorized and do not have any cords that hang down. There are no handles for them to grab onto as well. We can create scenes and schedule them to open and close based on a desired wake-up time, nap time, or bedtime.

Thank you for being here with us, and we’ll keep you updated on our journey in time.
