Outdoor Living

Overview

Our outdoor living area is at the back of our home, graced by a 12’ sliding door off our kitchen. Dreaming up cozy and festive spaces has been exciting since moving in. The space's focal point is the gas fireplace, with its beautiful architectural stone. It is a wonderful place to unwind and take in the natural elements while being protected from the sun's rays!

Our moodboard

We have re-used pieces we brought from our last house to decorate the space. The outdoor rug helps bring a little texture to the current concrete below the feet. We have a teak wood conversation set placed by the fireplace. There is a bistro set, so we can dine al fresco when we feel up for it!

We also incorporated a lantern sconce light and an outdoor ceiling fan to help move the air. That has also been found to help keep bugs and especially mosquitos, from bothering us in the evenings! We can step down to our rustic gravel patio, where you’ll find our grill.

Bringing it all together

This space has been great when entertaining. Our guests love how it looks like a part of the house when viewed from the kitchen, yet it’s outdoors! The fireplace is cozy, and we look forward to fall nights there, snuggled with a cup of warm cider. Cheers to these times ahead!
